St. Paul Trail

No one knows the route Paul and Barnabus took through the Taurus Mountains from Perga to Antioch (Acts 13:14) or their return journey (Acts 14:24). However, scholars have looked at evidence (including the remains of Roman roads) and come to some conclusions. Because of Paul’s infirmity, they believe Paul and Barnabus went to Antioch via the relatively easier western route. On the way back, because of their desire to get home, it is believed they returned through the difficult, but shorter and faster, central route.

In this section we will look at the “St. Paul Trail” which is a series of walking trails through the western Taurus mountains developed by a group of dedicated individuals led by Kate Clow.
